Weatherford is hiring for an Electro/Mechanical Technician in our West Hardy Road facility in Houston. This is a hands on, rewarding role where you will be building/wiring of new build (Capex) products and tools for the oil and gas industry. The Electro/Mechanical Technician will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Has responsibility for providing "hands-on" technical support to the production, equipment, and/or tools.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
To maintain tools as per procedure or as per supervisor & engineering with completing relevant paperwork
Conduct individual tests to ensure integrity of assemblies
To ensure that the workshop is always in a clean state at all times.
Organization of verification of metrology and equipment calibration.
Maintenance of equipment in proper form.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Be willing to train on new technology as Weatherford progresses in the oil industry.
Primary Background Requirements:
2+ years related experience preferred with High School Diploma (or Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent) preferred
Knowledge of windows based systems Mechanically Inclined experience required
Must have the ability to take occasional call.
Must have the ability to work occasional weekend and nights
Must have a valid driver's license
High and Low temp soldering is a must.
Experience in working with Wireline Equipment/Products is a Plus.
