Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute engineering projects to integrate software and platform improvements for armored combat and support vehicles, ensuring technical performance, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
Develop project plans and integrated master schedules in collaboration with engineering teams.
Lead design, validation, and configuration management efforts for platform product improvements.
Manage projects to meet scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
Prepare bids and support proposal development efforts as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Program Office, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance, to ensure project success.
Forecast engineering manpower requirements and coordinate corrective actions to meet project milestones.
Identify and resolve critical issues to keep projects on track.
Develop and present executive-level summaries on project performance.
Utilize project metrics to monitor and report performance progress.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering preferred; other technical degrees considered with relevant experience. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance required.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within the defense industry.
Skills & Expertise:
Proven experience in project engineering and leading multi-functional technical teams.
Technical interface experience with customers and stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and ability to direct technical analyses.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), scheduling tools, and critical path analysis.
Technical Proficiency:
Competence with Windows XP, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, and presentation tools.
Ability to manage project deliverables and data through multiple media platforms.
Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
