Support special operations forces by contributing to logistics and ground support systems that ensure the readiness and effectiveness of elite units. This role provides the chance to support high-priority missions, offering insights into the logistics and sustainment of critical defense operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage budgeting processes and financial planning activities to support special operations missions, ensuring effective program execution across multiple military appropriations.
Identify and manage all-source military operations requirements, including analytical and collection needs across the military operations community.
Interface with internal and external agencies to ensure timely task completion, verify data accuracy, and compile daily activity reports.
Coordinate travel and submit expense reports for operational leads.
Ensure budget requirements are allocated correctly across appropriations (e.g., procurement, R&D, construction, military pay, and operations/maintenance) and phased over time for program execution.
Prepare and submit time-sensitive financial reports, synthesizing Component Planning Guidance, USSOCOM Program Budget Guidance, and other directives.
Familiarize with and support the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process for long-term budget planning.
Qualifications:
Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance required.
Experience: Familiarity with the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting System (PPBS).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint or portal-based systems.
Ability to analyze financial reports and make sound budgetary decisions with minimal supervision.
