Our client is a leading construction company dedicated to delivering high-quality projects with a focus on precision, innovation, and efficiency. They are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Must have experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of construction accounting practices (job costing, progress billings, etc.).
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel highly preferred
Prior management or supervisory experience is highly preferred, as this role will oversee a team of 3.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Supervise and provide leadership to a team of 3 accounting staff members.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements, job cost reports, and other key financial data.
Manage the general ledger and oversee reconciliations.
Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate tracking of project costs, budgets, and timelines.
Optimize and streamline accounting processes to increase efficiency.
Assist with year-end audit preparations.
Maintain the integrity of financial systems, including QuickBooks and Excel-based reporting tools.
