Working with a team to provide excellent quality and service to the Rolling Mill through the turning of various rolls by CNC Lathe machine.
This includes operating multiple CNC Lathe machines, tracking and documenting roll sets as well as maintaining a current roll inventory.
The successful candidate will utilize computer resources to load programs, manage work orders and track completed work.
The Roll Turner will also need to be willing to help in all areas of the Roll Shop and Rolling/Finishing Mill as needed.
Candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 Years CNC Lathe experience, programming and set up
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous roll turning experience.
Knowledge of job specific software such as Auto Cad and/or Gibbs Cam
Industrial Mechanical Experience
2 - 4 year Technical Degree.
Rolling Mill Experience
