Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in our Tampa, FL office. The AP associate will have previous experience in accounts payable, validating invoices, and basic knowledge of accounting. This is a hybrid role reporting to our Tampa, FL office 3 times per week. Successful candidates will not only have outstanding AP skills, but also exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship building abilities. This person is proactive and comfortable with change in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities


  • Handle a high volume of T&E's (Concur)

  • Process, verify and reconcile vendor invoices in ERP system.

  • Perform invoice and GL data entry into paperless G/L system.

  • Process PO invoices.

  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies.

  • Communicate with all levels of management.

  • Assist with month-end close activities.

  • Build vendor relationships.

  • Perform other Ad hoc requests as required.

Desired Skills and Experience


  • 2+ years of solid Accounts Payable experience a must

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Excel.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Provide good customer service to business lines as well as provide good vendor relations.

  • Degree in accounting or similar a plus

  • Experience with Concur and international vendor invoices a plus.

  • Hybrid working schedule.

Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $55,000 - $60,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
