Join the Mizuho team as IT Project/Service Manager for Head Office hosted applications!
In this role you will lead US and Head Office personnel to implement projects and maintain service levels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Head Office members, business owners, developers, operations teams, management and other relevant teams to implement various types of projects
Support our project from start to finish, including design, procurement, implementation, documentation and release work
Performing BAU/End User/Audit Support Tasks from start to finish
Perform troubleshooting and incident management tasks from start to finish
Continuously improve our business processes, services and support levels
Perform ad-hoc tasks to support team members
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience and track record of IT Project/Service management at large and complex financial institutions (3-5 years minimum).
Tolerance and understanding in multi cultures
Superior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff in both Japanese/English
Deep understanding of finance, risk, operations, accountings and data processes as well as the technologies enabling them
Product knowledge of Loans, Derivatives, Securities, Forex, and Repurchase Agreements. Quick learning of other product knowledge
Basic knowledge for Windows/Unix/Linux, Network, Database and Information Security. Quick learning of other technical skills
Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skills
Solid knowledge and expertise in the use of project/service management methodologies and tools
Quick learning of Mizuho Americas and Head Offices Standards and Procedures
Excellent skill to prepare presentation material (eg.MS Power point) and present in both Japanese/English
Excellent skills for MS Access/Excel to prepare business data
The expected base salary ranges from $77k-$145k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
