Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Mine data from primary and secondary sources using SQL, Google Cloud, and Hive. Reorganize the data in an easily readable and consumable format. Merge and join various data sources using SQL and Pyspark to create aggregated tables on which statistical analyses can be performed using Python. Use statistical and visualization tools to generate hypothesis and interpret data sets. Pay particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts. Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements. Recommend system modifications that adhere to data governance policies. Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and how to duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary. Create visualizations from integrated data models in decided visualization tools for ease of access. Generate standard or custom reports using Tableau and Looker to summarize business, financial, or customer demographic data for review by managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools. Collate all ideas from various teams for targeting messages and create learning agendas for customer retention programs. Work with leadership and business partners to discuss and understand goals, functional objectives, and key business challenges and develop hypotheses around current and future business issues. Identify functional analytics and research objectives and develop tactical research plans. Provide guidance to stakeholders and advise on next steps based on insights objectives and research. Manage the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for workstreams and individual projects. Manage the testing and the validation process to monitor solutions. Collaborate with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills required: Experience using SQL query in Hadoop and GCP for data mining, ETL processes, and synthesizing Structured and Unstructured Data. Experience creating data visualizations using Tableau and Adobe Omniture. Experience designing hypothesis tests to accept or reject the hypotheses using statistical techniques. Experience working with large data sets to conduct descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive analysis on historical data using Python. Experience executing seasonal trend analysis using Microsoft (MS) Excel including the Trend Analytics feature. Experience creating business case that illustrate customer behavior, sales trends, and opportunities using Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint. Experience creating project code and artifacts documentation using Microsoft tools, Confluence, and Github. Experience collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop solutions for workstreams and individual projects for a business area, category, or prototype. Experience interfacing with external business partners and vendors. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $107,950/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
