Position: Senior Manager, Operations
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Responsible for all aspects of go-to-market (GTM) strategy for a brand new business unit that was created with the intention of commercializing Walmart's last mile delivery capabilities for third party enterprises. Responsible for all market-facing strategic aspects including pricing, sales approach, client pitches, and resource allocation. Define market segments that have the greatest commercial potential based on last mile use cases and customer needs. Build operational understanding of the key criteria that drive purchase decisions by clients and the size of the market. Define changes in the approaches that are necessary to appeal to each of these different groups. Benchmark various purchase criteria against the competitive landscape. Identify strengths and weaknesses to further inform Walmart's go-to-market and product strategy. Establish feedback loops from prospective clients that can inform Walmart's go-to-market strategy and deliver actionable insights to improve Walmart's offering in the market. Define parameters that describe prime client segments and establish an account scoring mechanism that supports Walmart's business development team in prioritizing their sales efforts. Establish a framework and talk track that addresses all aspects of discussions with prospective clients. Partner with the sales operations team to populate these frameworks with market segments and industry-specific context for tailored sales pitches. Lead various trials in pricing structure, incentivization formats, and commercial agreements in partnership with the business development and marketing teams. Own the design of experiments and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative outcomes. Partner with the marketing team to quantify return on ad spend by advertising channel and optimize effectiveness based on prior performance and segmentation frameworks. Manage programs and lead strategy formulation to bring new propositions and product features to market. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (Any), Operations, Finance, or related field and 1 year of experience in operations, project management, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (Any), Operations, Finance, or related field and 3 years of experience in operations, project management, or related area.
Skills required: Experience running market analysis for Total Addressable Market (TAM) and Serviceable Available Market (SAM) in Microsoft (MS) Excel, including VBA. Experience building financial models and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) calculations. Experience designing leadership presentations in Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint. Experience developing go-to-market (GTM) strategies and team roadmaps. Experience collecting user research and creating market feedback loops to product and process improvements. Experience building reporting and dashboards in Salesforce. Experience executing A/B testing for marketing campaigns. Experience creating Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies for business-to-business (B2B) marketing. Experience building business development (BD) and sales presentations and templates. Experience supporting pricing negotiations with clients. Experience drafting and negotiating contracts including NDAs, MSAs, and term sheets. Experience developing and executing Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) strategies including Letter of Intent (LOI) drafting and data room work. Experience establishing company valuations based on balance sheets and Profit and Loss Statement (P&L) analysis according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $176,010/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
