We are seeking a hands-on Senior Software Manager to lead our data engineering and AIML initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in big data technologies and a deep understanding of AI/ML productionization, including LLM services. You will play a key role in guiding a talented team, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of security related enterprise-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and AI/ML specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Build strong teams through effective hiring practices and talent development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX and product management, to define and implement data and AIML solutions that meet user needs.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels of technical expertise, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
Data Engineering:
Design and implement scalable data pipelines using big data technologies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and architecture for AIML applications.
AIML Productionization:
Oversee the deployment and maintenance of AI/ML models and services, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Understand how to create AI/ML services and endpoints, facilitating integration with other systems.
Drive the integration of LLMs into production systems, focusing on use cases such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), zero-shot, and few-shot learning.
Ensure robust testing practices, including unit testing, end-to-end (E2E) testing, load testing, and stress testing to validate performance and reliability.
Enterprise Application Resiliency:
Build high-resiliency, enterprise-critical applications that meet business needs and performance standards.
Ensure robustness and scalability in application design and implementation.
Project Management:
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
Utilize agile methodologies to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks associated with data engineering and AIML initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant data governance and security standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in data engineering, particularly with big data technologies such as PySpark.
Proven experience in productionizing AI/ML and LLM applications, with a solid understanding of relevant use cases.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly in UX and product management.
Ability to engage with stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds, translating technical jargon into clear and actionable insights.
Familiarity with risk management principles is a plus.
Excellent hiring skills and the ability to build strong, motivated teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead.
