Position: Senior Manager, Data Science
Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Drive the execution of multiple business plans by identifying customer and operational needs, developing business plans, removing performance barriers, identifying performance standards, measuring progress, and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current programs, getting feedback from key stakeholders, and applying them to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Develop business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings and translate business requirements into projects. Provide recommendations to stakeholders to solve business problems. Identify and recommend approaches to resolve the business problem to create effective technology focused solutions. Analyze business problems within one's discipline and question assumptions to help the business identify root causes. Identify the most suitable data sources that are fit for the business problem, referring to external sources as required. Perform analysis utilizing methods such as statistical analysis, regression modeling, and optimization. Build scalable and complex supply chain models and processes to optimize supply chain strategies to deliver an excellent customer experience while balancing operating cost and asset efficiency. Create and deploy robust metrics and dashboards to enable tangible transformation. Understand the methods and applications that unlock the monetary value of data assets and apply them to moderately complex business problems that may span one or more function or domain. Apply appropriate data ecosystems including Data Management, Data Quality Standards, and Data Governance. Provide development opportunities for associates by selecting, training, assigning duties, building a team-based work environment, and establishing and conducting performance evaluations. This position does not supervise other employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years of experience in an analytics related field.
Skills required: Experience with database technologies to define data strategy, identify and prioritize business requirements, and monitor business performance. Experience with network modeling tools, network optimization, and long-range planning. Experience developing solutions to existing business processes within supply chain using analytical and quantitative problem-solving and statistical analysis, regression modelling, and optimization techniques. Experience with supply chain domains and related information systems including distribution/transportation, sourcing, planning, manufacturing, and inventory management. Experience with the retail industry. Experience with data visualization frameworks and tools including Tableau to develop a compelling narrative and influence stakeholders. Experience conducting scenario, sensitivity, risk, and data analysis, and financial modeling through Solver and SQL. Experience designing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in Tableau and MS Excel to measure and report business performance. Experience coding SQL queries to extract data from Snowflake. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $156,036/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
