The Resident Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing new markets and opportunities for their defined geographical area. This position requires "hands-on" involvement, coupled with task delegation and follow up to ensure timely completion of tasks and overall quality of work. Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to others both internally and externally to the company is extremely important. To effectively maintain relationships and an awareness of market needs, this position requires approximately 40% travel.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identifies market opportunities by assessing current and potential customer needs and promoting Ceco's advantage. Uses technical knowledge to increase sales and gain market share.
Develops and nurtures positive relationships with customers and others in the construction community, representing Ceco in a professional and ethical manner.
Oversees the forming system selection for projects, preparation of estimates, pricing schedules, and proposals for bid submittals.
Negotiates and executes sales, generating annual bookings of $5 - $10 million. Partners with Area Superintendent to manage up to three projects per year.
Contributes to company safety goals by reducing hazards during the design and planning stage, ensuring all formwork systems meet construction and safety standards. Participates in jobsite safety planning and inspections.
Assists District Leadership in budgetary planning, implementation and control by monitoring cash flow, project margins, labor planning and expenditures on projects within the assigned territory.
Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree with at least seven years of concrete formwork and frame estimating experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of concrete engineering and Ceco forming capabilities and experience with design, analyses and application of structural systems, methods and procedures.
Three to five years' experience developing client relationships, conducting market analysis and sales presentations and negotiating contracts, preferably in the construction industry.
Highly developed organizational, problem solving and negotiating skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make timely effective decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
Advanced knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
