Job Description:

Location: San Francisco, CA

Salary: $75.00 USD Hourly - $80.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)




Responsibilities:




Design and Develop: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement robust backend systems for travel insurance services.


Build Scalable Solutions: Develop reliable, performant, and scalable backend solutions for large distributed systems.



Resolve and Document: Lead the investigation and resolution of operational incidents, creating comprehensive documentation and platform improvements.



Integrate Seamlessly: Ensure smooth integration of backend services with the overall insurance platform.



Uphold Quality Standards: Maintain and promote high standards of code quality, reliability, and best practices.



Experience: 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend engineering.



Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, with experience in full stack solutions, microservices, SQL and NoSQL, Thrift, GraphQL, and frontend tech stacks like React and Redux.



Experimentation: Familiarity with growth engineering principles, such as A/B testing, funnel analysis, and customer segmentation.



Proven Track Record: Success in building high-quality products and solving complex, ambiguous problems involving multiple teams and systems.


Leadership and Collaboration: Strong communication skills and experience leading cross-organizational projects with design, product, data science, and engineering teams.



Education:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.



Certifications & Licenses:



Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, with experience in developing backend services.
