Facilities / Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing and maintaining the overall operation and maintenance of the building, equipment and grounds. This role will oversee the preventative maintenance of all activities and product equipment. Maintain compliance with all procedures, policies and regulations and ensure timely response to regulatory issues and inspection findings.
Incumbent must have strong leadership skills and able to work with a minimum amount of supervision after training and must follow departmental procedures.
Skills and Experience:
•3-5 years' experience in maintenance of buildings, property, and equipment including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and troubleshooting control systems
•Hands on experience with preventative maintenance and machine repair for industrial automation equipment, required
•Valid driver's license, required
•Demonstrated ability to coordinate maintenance and service contracts
•Proficiency with a facilities management/work order software, Hippo CMMS a plus
•Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred
•General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, building repair and HVAC
•Professional written and spoken communications skills
•Time and project management skills
•Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
Job Functions:
•Planning, scheduling, and executing reactive and preventive maintenance tasks for production equipment using CMMS
•Complete hands-on maintenance work and troubleshooting of production equipment including root cause analysis for tooling, stocking and parts machining
•Inspect, record and address abnormal building and property conditions.
•Ensuring alignment of maintenance and facility activities with specifications and regulatory requirements.
•Collaboration between production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
•Negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing corrective maintenance
•Proficient in analyzing maintenance needs, scheduling tasks effectively, and ensuring the upkeep of system through proper assignment allocation
•Makes management-approved purchases of supplies, equipment and services for the facility
•Supervising maintenance staff, addressing performance/behavior issues, managing schedules, and conducting performance reviews.
•Adhering to ISO 9001, 5S, Lean manufacturing procedures to promote cleanliness, order and efficiency
•Reporting maintenance metrics and data to the Plant Manager regularly
•Participating in A3 activities with the Plant Manager to achieve established goals
