Description: Our client is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist for an onsite role in South Salt Lake.
Position Summary:
Provide support for the Human Resources function, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training, and benefits for plant employees at the Salt Lake City facilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Onboarding: Manage onboarding activities, communicate with hiring managers and new hires, handle pre-screening requirements, conduct orientation sessions, and serve as a resource for employees.
Job Descriptions: Update job descriptions and summaries for current positions.
Employee Relations: Lead employee relations efforts, conduct investigations, support management in disciplinary and performance improvement processes, and communicate with plant leadership and the HR team.
Recruitment: Recruit and onboard new hires.
HRIS Management: Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed, processed, filed, and entered into the HRIS accurately and timely. Ensure payroll has the necessary documentation to process the first paycheck accurately.
Benefits Administration: Manage health and welfare benefits, including fielding employee questions, conducting benefits orientation, resolving benefit-related issues, processing status changes, and distributing required notices and summary plan descriptions.
Leave Administration: Process and administer all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork, including medical, personal, disability, and FMLA for all plant employees.
Collaboration: Strong collaboration, communication, and alignment with the plant leadership team.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5+ years of full-time experience in a Human Resources role.
BA or BS degree in Human Resources or a similar concentration preferred.
HR Certification preferred.
