Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Direct Materials in Tempe,AZ
Can also be located in Salt Lake City,UT
Senior Manager, Direct Materials in manufacturing typically oversees the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials necessary for production over 7 facilities nationwide.


Procurement Management: Oversee the purchasing of materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. Inventory Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands without overstocking. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials meet regulatory standards and quality requirements. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of purchasing agents and inventory staff.Process Improvement: Implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain.


Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Typically requires 6+ years of experience in materials management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Skills: Strong leadership, collaboration, accountability, and analytical skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain software is often required.Certifications: Certifications like CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) can be advantageous.


This role requires 50% travel each month.
