Overview
The Research Associate, under the direct supervision of the Laboratory manager, will assist in activities to support and grow the analytical development within organization. These activities include, but may not be limited to supporting lab testing, including setup, processing and shipping, ordering of supplies, data entry, laboratory inventory management, record maintenance and archiving, study visit tracking, assisting with budget preparation.Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills and actively contributes to training, report generation and GMP documentation. This position will interface regularly and build relationships with each team member and other functions to drive success of the activities and projects while maintaining the highest quality and integrity standards.
Responsibilities
The candidate should be Assist with lab testing procedures, including setup, processing, and shipping of samples and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Order and manage laboratory supplies, ensuring availability for ongoing research activities.
Proficient at performing standard laboratory and applications testing.
Ability to make detailed observations of lab tests and to accurately record the data and observations in a laboratory notebook and in spreadsheets.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
Performs sample testing and data analysis following established methodologies
Collaborate across multiple cross- functional teams to perform experiments and summarize work in presentations and technical reports.
Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with accelerated timelines.
Position Requirements ( Required and/or Preferred Skills, Experience and Education ):
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field from an accredited college
2+ Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirement
Must have strong communication skills.
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness.
Must successfully exhibit Insmed's five (5) core values of Collaboration, Accountability, Passion, Respect, and Integrity along with any other position specific competencies.
Individuals must demonstrate the ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace.

Salary Range
$73,000 - $97,200 a year
