The Logistics Analyst is responsible to ensure the optimal materials and components delivery to comply with customer requirements in quantity, labeling, packaging, and time. Ensure effective control of transportation costs both in the arrival of materials and at the output to Customers. Establish and support the MAHLE Aftermarket and Export Control requirements for North America. Lead, the Customs & Export Controls with cost effective and compliant customs processes than minimize transit times and documentation errors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define operational procedures for Logistics and Inventory Control systems, including all locations, including 3PL providers and ensure safety standards are met.
Follow up needs, growth and performance of the Logistics
Develop, provide guidance and manage plant personnel and central functions which are directly and indirectly linked to import and export trade compliance along with domestic small parcel and truck shipments.
Develop annual departmental budget and cost controls to meet overall company financial objectives. This includes development of annual freight budget and adherence to it.
Define implementation plans for objectives and goals set by the plant manager for the current year as well as strategy years.
Ensure proper use and management of resources allocated to the Department of Logistics.
Communicate to all Logistics employees the department results.
Follow up on the corrective actions, progress of new projects and improvement projects.
Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly activities to meet customers' requirements.
Ensure the successful import and export of materials at the lowest possible cost.
Audit Broker and domestic 3PL services in addition to customs service providers supporting US and Mexico.
Implement customs reporting standards and metrics for the Aftermarket management.
Comply with internal company regulations.
Monitor the successful introduction of new projects in different phases of the supply chain. Search options for reducing transportation cost.
Analyze customer information, to ensure proper planning at all stages of the supply chain.
Monitor budgets and freight costs incurred arising from Logistics.
Perform the assigned activities, following established standards and environmental procedures.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Comply with and enforce the system of housekeeping (5's).
Documented procedures and work instructions of the department.
Responsible for conducting physical inventories to ensure accuracy thereof.
Know, understand, and comply with the quality policy of the company.

Supervisory Responsibilities - Direct supervisory responsibility. Logistics Team
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Administration, or comparable field preferred.
5 years' experience with ShipERP (preferred) or other common TMS (Transportation Mgt. System) solutions that integrate with SAP. WMS in correlation to manage TMS.
SAP - S/4 HANA and EWM (preferred); Advanced Excel skills; BI knowledge preferred
Must have experience developing annual departmental budgets and cost controls, including development of annual freight budget
Must have experience auditing broker / domestic 3PL services / customs service providers supporting US and Mexico. (CPAC Certification desired)
Experience supervising / leading plant personnel, as well as import / export trade compliance and domestic small parcel / truck shipments.
Professional Certifications such as Six Sigma, PMP, CPSM or APICS are a plus
Managing SLA's (Contracts) - Parcel and LTL
Familiar with Pricing Formats and Shipping Tables
Excellent leadership, decision-making, planning and analytical skills required.
Proven and effective facilitation, leadership, and mentoring skills.
