Tetra Tech is currently seeking a part-time, Grant Writer to assist with the preparation of EPA Brownfields grants, working for our Cincinnati office. This is a fully remote position.
The selected candidate will assist with the preparation of EPA Brownfields grant applications on behalf of municipalities. In addition, the candidate will:
• Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
• Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals and reports.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather information necessary for proposals.
• Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of applications.
• Develop and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders.
• Track and report on the status of grant applications and funding received.
• Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and regulations.
• Assist in the development of fundraising strategies and campaigns.
Qualifications
• 10 years of experience in grant writing activities, with a successful track record of securing funding.
• Clear and effective communications skills; candidates may be asked to provide writing samples.
• Consistently strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, energy, and an enthusiastic collaborator.
• Fluent in English and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Consistently strong organizational skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and follow through.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently to meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage time well and work on multiple concurrent tasks.
• Ability to remain poised and focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and able to take directions and work independently to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 software.
Degree / Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in English or Education or technical field.
• Master's degree preferred.
Work Environment
• This is a fully remote position.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
