Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to leading the maintenance and production teams by:
Improving and maintaining line automation and drive systems to ensure customer requirements are met
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing process software and human machine interface applications
System administration, support, and troubleshooting for Process Control networks and infrastructure
Providing control loop analysis and performance tuning for process optimization
Taking a lead role in problem solving application, network, and infrastructure problems
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two or four-year technical degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or engineering discipline with major computer technology content
Three years of process control software development experience
Understanding of mechanical and electrical processes in the steel industry and steel plant processes
Working knowledge and experience with various PLC systems (Siemens, ABB, etc.)
