Job Overview:
The Thermal and CFD Analysis Engineer will be responsible for performing thermal analysis and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to support the design, development, and optimization of our products. This role requires expertise in thermal management, fluid flow simulations, and a strong understanding of engineering principles to solve complex problems and improve product performance in heated and cooled vacuum environments.
What You Will Do:
Thermal Analysis:
Perform thermal simulations to evaluate and optimize heat transfer and thermal management solutions.
Analyze temperature distributions, thermal stresses, and heat dissipation for various components and systems.
Develop and validate thermal models using advanced simulation tools and empirical experiments.
CFD Analysis:
Conduct CFD simulations to analyze fluid flow, heat transfer, and pressure distribution in systems and components.
Create and refine CFD models, including meshing, boundary conditions, and solver settings.
Interpret CFD results, identify key performance indicators, and provide recommendations for design improvements.
Validate models using advanced simulation tools and empirical experiments.
Collaboration:
Work closely with design engineers, mechanical engineers, and other team members to integrate thermal and fluid dynamics considerations into product designs.
Provide technical support and guidance to resolve thermal and fluid flow-related issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation of analysis results and recommendations.
Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in thermal analysis and CFD methodologies.
Contribute to the development and improvement of simulation tools and processes.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal analysis and CFD simulation.
Proficiency in using simulation software such as ANSYS, Fluent, COMSOL, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics principles.
Experience with numerical methods, mesh generation, and solver techniques.
Ability to analyze complex simulation results and develop actionable insights.
Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation and data analysis is desirable
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
