Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated problem solver who can partner across departments to provide excellent customer service. Duties will include timely and accurate processing of payroll related items, including final pay for terminations. A successful candidate will be able work in a fast-paced environment utilizing multiple systems and will have the ability to multi-task while adhering to daily processing deadlines along with critical thinking and the ability to "think outside" the box for effective problem solving.
Responsibilities
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
• Prepare and process termination checks using appropriate state compliance guidelines.
• Process off cycle checks for missed hours and additional pay, as needed.
• Review and audit payroll data prior to payroll settlement.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Respond to payroll questions and requests for information.
• Prepare reports by compiling data of hours, earnings, taxes, and deductions.
• Update payroll records by reviewing and entering employee payment and tax elections.
• Review and research questions regarding paid time off (sick and vacation).
• Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll.
• Process and complete verifications of employment.
• Maintain data privacy and employee confidentiality.
• Contribute to team success by achieving specified metrics and team goals.
Minimum Qualifications
• 2 plus years of Payroll experience, preferably multi-state
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills
• Ability to Multi-Task, Organize and Prioritize Responsibilities
• Strong Analytical Skills to Investigate and Resolve Issues
• Workday Experience a plus
• Ability to Work in a Team Environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft - Outlook, Excel and Word
Education
• High School or Equivalent (Required)
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business-related field preferred
Experience
• Payroll: 2 years or more (Required), preferably in a high-volume, multi-state environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - 29.00 per hour, depending on qualifications
