The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site activities for the construction of garden-style apartment buildings. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in residential / multifamily construction, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of construction from planning to completion.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Monitor project schedules and budgets, making adjustments as necessary.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to plans.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs and reports.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Superintendent in residential construction, preferably with garden-style apartments.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent role building low to mid rise residential or multifamily construction
