This is a critical leadership role, someone who will contribute to the success of our firm in winning and executing task orders under the awarded contract, while ensuring projects are run per the stated requirements and in the most efficient manner possible.

As the Senior Program Manager, you will;

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and Task Order Monitor (TOM), to facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the project team and government stakeholders.
  • Oversee the overall program, and task orders, ensuring successful delivery of project milestones.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to meet programmatic objectives and implement program management processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct regular meetings with customers to understand and address their needs and expectations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the team and customers to identify opportunities for program improvement.
  • Ensure all projects are accurately aligned with scientific goals and technical requirements by conducting regular technical assessments.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules. Monitor project progress, and budget utilization, and report on key performance indicators. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide programmatic support, including resource allocation, risk management, and performance tracking. Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion.
  • Offer scientific, technical, and management assistance for project-specific requirements, and serve as a subject matter expert in addressing complex project challenges.
Your background will include;
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting NOAA Programs such as those in the Fisheries and Oceans domain.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive program management experience, including demonstrated experience supporting programs with a strong focus on scientific research and development or monitoring initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in program management, project planning, strategic planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting activities.
  • A PMP or similar professional certification in Project/Program Management is strongly preferred though not required.
  • Proven experience handling complex issues inherent in a complex program, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a consulting engagement through cross-functional leadership, effective collaboration, and the ability to establish a trusted advisor relationship with the government client.
