Our Mid-Continent Engineering Design Organization is looking to grow and diversify our offering across the Energy sector. As such, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Discipline Lead to join our team in Houston, TX or Baton Rouge, LA with a background in oil and gas, energy, petrochemicals, or related sectors with a strong level of knowledge and interest in detailed technical work, including review and validation, involving gas and liquid facility equipment and piping.

Projects ranging from traditional energy to energy transition with Tier 1 and 2 clients across the upstream and midstream Oil and Gas, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, and Utilities industries.
Studies for emerging hydrogen and other clean energy projects.
Code-driven detailed design work including preparation of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for green and brownfields facilities.
Project leadership of mechanical and piping design resources to deliver studies and detail design projects in the above areas.
Review and approval of final mechanical equipment selection and drawing submittals on projects.
Supporting proposals and cost estimates for a wide range of small to large projects.
Mentoring and career development of mechanical engineers and piping designers within the team.
Continuous networking with colleagues and peers in the industry.
What you will bring to the team:
Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years' experience in the energy sectors mentioned above or the oil & gas industry or an equivalent industry.
Professional Engineering License is preferred.
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding and experience applying various ASME codes and API standards in the design of process equipment and piping relevant to this work.
Experience with Caesar II pipe stress analysis, Energy Institute Guidelines for vibration analysis and engineering support for detailed design packages containing isometric drawings would be well-regarded.
Experience in Specification of Mechanical Equipment and initiating RFQs and documenting bid evaluations for review by others.
Ability to act as the Mechanical / Piping discipline lead.
Ability to utilize time management techniques to organize and prioritize workload and identification of needs for external support.
Ability to meet with clients to represent our technical capabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with clients, colleagues, designers, engineers, and project managers.
Strong attention to detail, adaptable, agile, and responsive to quick changes in direction.
