Job Description
Position Purpose:
Under general supervision of the Dean of Transitional Education & Centralia College East, this position serves as the administrative lead for the WorkFirst, Worker Retraining and Basic Food Employment & Training programs (BFET), Passport Support Funds, Early Achievers Grant, Perkins, and oversees the application process for Opportunity Grant.
Nature and Scope:
This position provides programmatic leadership and budgetary support for all of Centralia College¿s Workforce Funding programs including but not limited to: WorkFirst, Worker Retraining, Basic Food Employment & Training (BFET), Opportunity Grant, Perkins, Early Achievers Grant, Passport Support Funds. Responsible for ensuring that the institution remains in compliance with requirements and guidelines for each program. Assists with the development and evaluation of complex budgets and utilizes advanced features in Microsoft Excel. Maintains fiscal requirements such as monitoring expenditures, completing billing procedures and reporting. Participates in the submission of annual grant applications which includes preparing estimated budgets and narrative descriptions detailing how programs are administered. Monitoring data to support the academic and financial success of students who are served by Workforce Funding Grants. Works closely with financial aid staff for processing student funds within allowable amounts and maintain working knowledge of funding limitations in conjunction with financial aid regulations. Strong technical skills, expertise with Excel, and problem-solving are critical for this position.
Physical Demands:
Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods of time, ability to work in an open office setting and to work with frequent in-person interaction and numerous interruptions; work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and prioritize competing demands. This position requires some local and state travel.
Work Location:
This is an in-office position.
This is a twelve (12) month per year, administrative exempt position that reports to the Dean of Transitional Education & CC East. The salary is $74,000 - 87,000 (DOQ/DOE) annually depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The state of Washington provides a comprehensive benefits package for state employees. The position may participate in the TIAA/CREF retirement system.

Compensation
Annual Salary: $74,000 - 87,000 (DOQ/DOE)
