Position Title: Workforce Trainers - EMT / Paramedic Programs (Temporary, Part-Time, up to 19.5 hours per week)

Position Summary:
The Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute (PSESI) Training Center at 4355 E. Calle Aurora. Features state-of-the-art equipment for training in Advanced and Basic Life Support Coursework in Emergency Medicine.
Workforce Trainers are needed to assist classroom instructors in Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute, which includes Paramedic and EMT Programs.
Public safety agencies and organizations throughout Southern Arizona look to Pima Community College's Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute to provide training and educational opportunities to their employees.

The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include working evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide teaching assistance under the direction of lead instructors in the Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute programs and classes
Conduct training in a flexible schedule and non-traditional format
May teach theory and/or hands-on skills
Ensure all safety protocols are followed during hands-on skill training
Control and monitor complex equipment and supplies during hands-on skill training
Assess and evaluate student skills and knowledge
Document performance and progress of students
Recommend and implement actions to assist students to accomplish goals
Maintain complete and accurate attendance and training records
Participate in marketing the program and recruiting students
Remain current with emerging trends in assigned area
Job Requirements:
Current licenses, certifications and/or endorsements required to practice in the discipline field and
Three years of experience related to the discipline field and/or program
or
Candidates who possess similar minimum objective qualifications should describe in detail the work experience and education that you regard as establishing the equivalency.

Principles and practices of teaching, training, and instruction specific to the specific program
Standards and trends in the area of expertise
Basic principles of training
Selection, use, and evaluation of instructional materials and equipment
Processes used in an educational institution
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Assist in the instruction of students in a specific vocational area within a non-traditional delivery system to prepare students for employment and/or upgrade
Provide assistance and instruction to students on training related matters and training equipment and resources
Work with individuals and groups of students with different competencies and capabilities
