Job Summary
To support, troubleshoot, set up, process, and troubleshoot molds, equipment, tooling, and or the process to ensure manufacturing operations meet all defined shop floor management standards.
Job Responsibilities
Retrieve prepared molds and install into molding work cells
Inspect and confirm molds are ready for operation
Perform Cycle Time analysis and Time Studies, record
Inspect sample parts / First Articles for surface and dimensional defects - use information to fix any issues identified
Accurately document process parameters, as needed
Remove molds from service if not running correctly
Troubleshoot and correct process problems on the production floor or within automated workflows
Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization
Support Engineering and Quality with material formulation checks and confirm conformance to the standard
Support Operation Supervisors, Production Manager as a collaborator to reduce and eliminate deviations and process variances
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Experience in mold changes, hydraulics, electrical, an understanding of polymers and resins, processing and injection mold machinery
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting using root cause analysis
Understands and is familiar with developing processes using Decoupled Molding
Familiar with open/close loop process controls
Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills
At least 5 years of experience in plastics processing
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
