Follows, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including use of all PPE and safety equipment
Performs routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery
Repairs basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches
Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problem
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
Lubricates and cleans machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant
Accomplishes all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency
Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping and observes the operations to insure a safe work environment
Troubleshoot equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate appropriate remedial action.
Repair of equipment to improve availability and reliability for production.
Collect and analyze work delay codes to identify challenges to timely completion of scheduled jobs and work with available resources to reduce delays.
Ensure preventative maintenance compliance and that repair history is properly documented.
Assist in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies, equipment, and services within budgeted guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Three to five years of work experience in a manufacturing plant as a Maintenance Mechanic or Technician
Knowledge and experience working with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls.
Able to use both a MIG welder, and ARC welder.
Able to order parts and maintain inventory of all maintenance-related material.
Advanced working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems and components; including, but not limited to, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission, Material Handling, Sensor, Transmitters, DC and AC circuits, Transformers, Power and Energy, Arc Flash
Working knowledge and experience on Automation; Industrial Process and Control system; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Application; Bulk Handling System
Working knowledge and experience on Facility Maintenance (Roof, Dock, plumbing) and Plant Equipment (Boiler, Air Compressors, Ammonia/Freon/Glycol Refrigeration, HVAC, Ventilation, Cooling Tower, Condenser, Backflow preventer, Sprinkler and Fire Extinguisher, Wastewater System, ...)
Planning, scheduling & assigning ability while well experienced in defining priorities, required skills & resources.
Hold practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Multitasked in a fast-paced environment with lots of changes in direction bases business requirement.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other departments.
