The Construction Safety & Field Coordinator will support the project execution teams with safety rounding, mitigating costly and dangerous oversights. Assists with tracking, inspecting, and managing Construction department project safety inventory to ensure safety and compliance, and provides field coordination for the installation and removal of said inventory. Also supports construction vendor safety orientation specific to construction department.
Job Specific Duties
Accompanies and assists third party consultant on construction fire extinguisher inspections & certifications.
Tracks, inspects, and records condition of Construction Starc Panels, fire extinguishers, and fire extinguisher stands inventory. Coordinates moving of inventory to and from sites.
Performs independent jobsite construction safety and ICRA rounds to identify, report and coordinate correction of findings. Collaborates with EOC on rounding and reporting.
Performs safety audits on construction projects.
Regularly utilizes OpenSpace resource to document images of jobsites for jobsite conditions and work progress for projects over $500K.
Maintains field support receipts of deliveries, assessment walkthroughs, etc.
Supports verification of life safety drawings.
Contributes to pre and post hurricane jobsite safety efforts, AHCA and DNV walkthroughs.
Coordinates resolution of incident reports related to construction department (RL).
Supports project execution teams with above ceiling inspections, environmental testing coordination and jobsite safety, etc.
Leads construction vendor safety orientation sessions. Collaborates with department administration on documentation and recording of required attestations.
Coordinates and rounds main campus construction vendor parking.
Supports departmental courier needs.
Minimum Job Requirements
1-3 years of Administrative Assistant or Project Coordinator experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Associate's degree in related field preferred.
Experience in healthcare project management, commercial design or construction, or facilities planning/capital project management preferred.
Able to read and interpret construction documents and furniture drawings.
Familiar with project management methodologies and construction reporting tools.
Proficient in MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Photoshop), Desktop Publishing, MS project schedule, and management solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
