The Coordinator, Housing Services designs, develops, implements and maintains business solutions and is the primary administrator responsible for supporting the operations of the Department of Residence Services., reports for management and university partners, and liaising with other units within the organization in order to provide high-quality customer service to Law School residents. One of the principle tasks of the Coordinator is maintaining the department’s housing platform, StarRez, for 775 beds across the School of Law’s residence halls; this includes but is not limited to: ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data at all times, preparing the portal for the application process in Portal X, recommending assignments and matches to maximize housing efficiencies, processing bookings/cancellations, preparing data migration files for billing, creating reports for management and partners, and leveraging the full capabilities of the system for the benefit of the department. The Coordinator must be customer service oriented as their contributions will have a direct impact on the residential student experience. Duties include financial analysis and working with Finance to prepare revenue projections and develop revenue budgets. Other ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree Business or related area.
Required Experience:
3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with StarRez housing software in a University housing setting.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years of experience working in a university and/or complex work or housing environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, keen sense of professionalism and customer service, ability to analyze data and make recommendations, expert working knowledge of StarRez housing software, proficient in Excel and Microsoft.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency in database management, reporting, Excel, Powerpoint.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $70,000.00.
