Overview

IDG is seeking a highly skilled IT Program Manager to lead and manage large-scale IT programs within our Enterprise Applications space. The IT Program Manager will have extensive experience supporting initiatives across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, HR, and Legal. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by leading cross-functional teams and effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels.

We are looking for a proactive IT Program Manager that can lead teams through challenging initiatives, while instilling confidence with our business stakeholders. The IT Program Manager will have experience supporting a large-scale Digital Transformation and have the processes and best practices needed to effectively manage their projects. This role will be positioned to make a big impact, helping to drive value to our business partners via intelligently designed technical solutions.

This role is based in our Needham MA location with a hybrid work schedule to come into the office 1-2 days per week. We will also consider qualified candidates for 100% remote in an approved US (East Coast) location.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects within a larger program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and managing interdependencies and risks effectively.
  • Develop detailed program and project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Facilitate productive conversations with project teams and executive stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication regarding project status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Lead resources across business analysis, development, testing, and deployment phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), driving accountability and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Work within a Project Management Office (PMO) framework, adhering to established project management best practices and standards.
  • Create and present executive status reports that provide meaningful insights and updates to leadership, highlighting program health and key metrics.
  • Proactively identify and address project risks and issues, employing strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex environments.
  • Utilize a broad set of interpersonal skills to foster team collaboration, manage conflicts, and facilitate effective communication among diverse stakeholders


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT program management, specifically within the Enterprise Applications space. Preferred – experience supporting large Finance Technology programs (e.g., ERP implementations, P2P initiatives, Q2C projects).
  • Strong understanding of Software Development and the SDLC; experience in software implementation projects is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience working in a PMO environment, following established project management methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or equivalent are preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to approach challenges proactively and develop innovative solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Product Board, Jira, DevOps).
  • Understanding of project budget management and financial forecasting.
  • Experience overseeing third parties (e.g., SI partner), including their deliverables
  • Experience working with various roles across Finance and Procurement
  • Foundational understanding of solution architecture and systems integration

At IDG, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $168,000.00 and $180,000.00 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable). Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner.
