Salary: Up to $85k per year
Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate the quality of resident care and outcomes related to healthcare-associated infections.
Collect, analyze, and present infection data, providing actionable recommendations.
Monitor staff compliance with infection prevention measures and proper use of protective barriers.
Develop and deliver educational programs for staff on infection control practices.
Serve as a resource for all departments and staff regarding infection prevention.
Implement programs to protect healthcare workers, visitors, and others within the facility.
Establish and recommend policies and procedures to prevent adverse events.
Ensure timely internal and external reporting of infection-related data.
Promote compliance with regulations, guidelines, and accreditation standards.
Requirements:
Education: Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing. Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of Iowa.
Experience: Long-term care experience preferred. Currently certified in CPR. Completion of a basic training program for Infection Control Certification in Infection Control is desired. Ability to develop policies and procedures. Ability to teach and evaluate clinical performance.
