DSW Homes is seeking an experienced, reliable and results-oriented Construction Scheduler. The Construction Scheduler reports to the Construction Program Manager. Candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely execution of construction projects by creating and maintaining detailed construction schedules, coordinating timelines, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression. The ideal candidate should have strong project management skills, experience in residential construction, and the ability to foresee and mitigate potential delays.
Essential process driven functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop and maintain detailed schedules from groundbreaking through to completion
Daily schedule reviews with project team ensuring that all milestones are met and any schedule changes are communicated effectively
Track the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously, identify potential delays, and work proactively to minimize impact on project timelines
Ensure that labor, materials, and equipment are scheduled efficiently and available when needed to avoid project delays
Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including potential risks or delays, and recommend corrective actions where necessary
Maintain accurate records of schedule changes and communicate them to the appropriate parties to ensure proper documentation and compliance
Act as a liaison between the construction team, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure all parties are informed of schedule changes, milestones, and project requirements
All other duties as assigned.
Education and Skill Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience in residential construction (required)
College education in Construction Management strongly preferred
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong discipline to drive scheduling and push projects through to successful completion
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in managing obstacles and avoiding potential delays
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and adapt to changing project demands
