The Klamath Tribes governing body (the Klamath Tribal Council) shall select and appoint the TERO Director who will be responsible for the development of program strategic goals and carying out the day-to-day activities of the Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO), including implementing and enforcing rules and regulations promulgated by the TERO Commission.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Implement and enforce the provisions for the Tribe's TERO Ordinance, as well as any properly adopted rules, regulations or policies promulgated by the TERO Commission. 2. Develop TERO Strategic Plan and execute program operational process. 3. Work with Tribal programs and enterprises to devise TERO compliant procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Knowledge of construction skilled trades, construction contracts, and construction terminology required. Ability to safely and confidently navigate a construction worksite required. Must be able to perform job duties with ah high degree of professionalism in order to demonstrate and maintain a positive image of the TERO department.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION REQUIRED to possess a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, or related field; emphasis in Human Resource Management in the public sector OR equivalent job-related experience may be substituted for degree. Consideration wil be given to a relevant combination of education/experience equal to at least four (4) years. REQUIRED to have five (5) years of progressive work experience in governmental or community-based empoyment and development program; TERO program experience strongly preferred.
