Responsibilities:
Set up and operate milling machines (horizontal/vertical) to perform precision machining operations, including compound angles, boring, helical milling, and gear cutting.
Select, mount, and align specialized machine attachments and tooling; plan the sequence of operations and adjust machine settings for optimal results.
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications, and use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Perform machining calculations, measure and mark dimensions, and monitor quality using statistical process control methods.
Qualifications:
Experience: Knowledge of G and M code for troubleshooting and editing part programs.
Skills: Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls.
Ability to perform complex machining calculations and pre-set tool lengths.
