We are looking for a skilled heavy equipment operator with extensive experience operating Motor Graders (Blade) to join our team and help us build the safest, most exceptional roads in the area.
Job Responsibilities by equipment type include but are not limited to the following:
The Motor Grader Operator will grade excavation and embankment and lay asphalt, base, and other materials.
They may blade haul roads and perform other general work.
The Motor Grader Operator will also perform finish grade work to blue tops or other close specification control.
Equipment - Caterpillars 140H and John Deere 672GP
Minimum of 4 years of Motor Grader / finish blade experience.
Minimum of 2 year of Trimble GPS
Knowledge of construction practices is essential.
Knowledge of how to oil, grease, service, and make adjustments to equipment as needed is preferred.
Familiarity with proper signals for work is necessary.
Prior experience within the heavy civil construction industry is strongly preferred.
Excellent housekeeping skills are required.
Ability to work with various measurements, including metric, feet, and hundredths.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills are necessary as proper completion of an assigned job and working safely will be highly dependent upon this ability.
Flexibility: Ability to work in a number of diverse locations is essential, as work locations may change daily.
Coordination: Balance, depth perception, and eye-hand coordination are critical.
Expected Hours: Hours will vary by job, location, and season. Working a night shift may be required.
Willingness to travel and must be able to supply their transportation.
