Objectives of this Role:
Expected to develop talent in the craft trades,
Students will circulate through all areas of the Mechanical Fabrication Center and be exposed to all of the rigors the staff endures under close supervision.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Complete safety training.
Work in teams or alone with close supervision.
Train and operate tools and equipment specific to tasks.
Assist in staging and completing projects.
Sign out and log equipment and welding materials.
Requirements:
Must be pursuing an Associates degree in Machining, CNC, or related degree program.
0 years: Welding processes familiarity.
Ability to work in a team safely.
Communication skills and ability to interface with different levels of staff.
A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Special Requirements:
Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.
