Performs a wide variety of basic to complex maintenance tasks in the plant and offices including maintenance of electrical and hydraulic systems, machinery, building, rooftop, racking, shelving and equipment repairs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs a wide range of upgrades and repairs to plant machinery, building, roof, property, equipment and tools
Performs simple to complex plumbing and HVAC repairs and projects
Assists in snow removal, sanding, gutter and drain cleaning
Inspects buildings, machinery and equipment to identify needs and makes recommendations to management
Conducts regular preventive maintenance and performs repairs from work orders
Troubleshoots problems arising from PM checks and safety audits
Paints structures (walls, floors, ceiling) using extension ladders
Uses, maintains and repairs a variety of machinist hand and air tools
Requisitions and maintains materials inventory needed for repairs
Assists in moving, levelling, set and start up of machinery and equipment
Observes all plant safety rules, practices and procedures
Assists in implementation of plant safety rules and guidelines
Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
Position Requirements:
The Maintenance Technician must possess the minimum knowledge listed below:
High School or Vocational School Graduate
Two years manufacturing experience
Knowledge of and experience in repair of manufacturing equipment, tools, and other machinery
Knowledge of and experience in repair of electrical and hydraulic systems
Familiarity with Lockout/Tag out and other safety procedures
Ability to utilize computer software
Capability of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
Ability to lift between 50 and 100 pounds in a team lift situation
Ability to do perform repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, stretching, pushing and pulling
