Responsible for operating one or multiple machines used in the creation of thermal and heat exchange production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (may vary depending on machine assignment)
Operate machines used to shape precision-folded workpieces used in the manufacture of heat transfer products from solid coiled stock
Read and interpret blueprints and/or job orders to determine product specifications, tooling instructions, and sequence of operations
Mount, install, and align dies and workpieces on twinfold, EDM, or other machines
Control position of machine and workpiece in relation to each other, set specified feeds/ speeds, and make adjustments as necessary
Set-up fixture or feeding device, start machine, feed sheet metal, and engage feed
Inspect all finished product to confirm meets blueprint and/or job order specifications
Record usage of all dies. Inspect dies. Forward defective dies to the Tool & Die team
Set up, operate, and maintain the chromacoat coating process line
Operate or tend machines used to wash / degrease heat transfer unit products
Complete all required paperwork
Use all safety devices/tools to ensure safe operation of machines
Perform minor machine maintenance as required or directed
Ensure work area is kept clean and always organized
Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Boyd policies and procedures
Provide feedback to management concerning possible problem or areas of improvement.
Participate in cross training throughout manufacturing facility. Dependent upon company need, may be posted in alternate work assignment.

Qualifications:
High school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or technical school diploma or equivalent in relevant work experience preferred
Proficient in accurate use of micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
Ability to read and work to set tolerances and work from blueprints
Ability to set-up and operate manual machines, such as mill and/or lathes
Mechanically inclined and possess strong degree of attention to detail
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw and apply valid conclusions
Ability to maintain accurate records required for production and quality
Basic mathematical skills required
Ability to be cross- trained throughout manufacturing facility
Ability to work in a team fostered environment
