What you will be doing?
Preparing and filing documents: Typing and preparing legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, appeals, and motions
Scheduling: Scheduling meetings, hearings, depositions, and site inspections
Maintaining records: Keeping track of legal filing deadlines, updating and indexing pleadings, and maintaining docket control systems
Researching: Locating relevant information for cases
Communicating: Communicating with lawyers, experts, vendors, opposing counsel, and other staff
Making travel arrangements: Making travel arrangements for lawyers
Performing other duties: Answering phone calls, keeping financial statements, and coordinating third-party vendors
What you must have for experience.
Three to five years as a legal secretary or legal office experience prefer in Real Estate but not foreclosures.
Organizational skills with attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Know and understand Legal Terminology and Processes
Ability to transcribe accurately and efficiently including in cursive
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Previous experience as a legal administrative or secretary role
