Job Summary: Responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services including inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair work, on a wide range of heavy equipment.
Essential Duties:
Conduct on-site equipment inspections and maintenance at customer locations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues in the field and perform necessary repairs.
Collaborate with Service Manager to schedule and prioritize field service calls.
Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
Builds knowledge of dealer supported product lines, service standards, and procedures and keeps abreast of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributor
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment while working in the field.
Maintain remote parts inventory.
Willingness for overnight travel including some multi-day events.
Willing to take an active role in acquiring new business opportunities in AOR
Act as ambassador of the company with customers
Essential Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years working in a full-time technician/mechanic role on heavy duty chassis.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience
• Welding/cutting torch experience
• Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, organizational and attention to detail
• Working usage of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Direct industry experience
• Class B CDL
