The Risk Group's Mission is to help the Bank achieve its strategic objectives through value-added independent and integrated risk assessments, independent risk oversight, and by providing advice, insight, and tools that enhance resilience and improve business outcomes.
The Business Risk Advisory & Support (BRA&S) function aligns closely with business stakeholders as a strategic partner to proactively address and mitigate potential risks to the Bank. The team accomplishes this by providing strategic guidance and expertise through value-added risk frameworks, tools, processes, training and advisory services to businesses leaders and departments, as well as risk reporting to key stakeholders.
We are seeking a dynamic leader as the Head of the Business Risk Advisory & Support team and invite you to apply if you are passionate about making a meaningful impact in risk management and thrive in a leadership role. In this role you will report to the Chief Risk Officer and inspire, mentor, and develop a team of 11 Risk professionals responsible for Controls Assurance, Business Risk Coverage, Risk Products Development, Issue Management, and Risk Metrics, ensuring full alignment with the Bank’s strategic priorities to Simplify, Innovate, and Lead.
Your role as Head of Business Risk Advisory & Support:
Lead, develop, and inspire a team to build strong business partnerships through practical and data-driven risk management approaches; foster a culture of continuous learning and passion for risk management.
Strategically partner with business stakeholders and lead the team to understand the business’s unique risk profiles and provide tailored advice to mitigate potential risks.
Drive the development of innovative risk management solutions to address emerging challenges and opportunities for the Bank.
Build on the Bank’s culture of collaboration, diversity and inclusion, and public service in providing an environment that allows employees to grow while being their authentic selves.
Build relationships and influence at all levels across the Bank, the Federal Reserve System, and other organizations.
Demonstrate and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
What we are looking for:
Broad leadership background with a track record of successful leadership driving results and proactively managing change in dynamic organizational, technological operating environments, ideally with a mission-driven focus.
Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks with a practical approach to risk management.
Outstanding people manager with inspirational leadership skills and a proven ability to coach, lead, and develop others to achieve their professional best while fostering an inclusive culture.
Demonstrated passion and genuine enthusiasm for the field of risk management.
Strong knowledge of industry trends and best practices, and a keen understanding of the broader business environment.
Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to gather support for business initiatives and strategies across multiple partners with diverse or different interests.

Salary Range: $325000-$375000 / year
