Overview


Snap-on Credit LLC is the financial arm of Snap-on Inc., and leading global innovator, manufacturer and marketer of tools, equipment, diagnostics, repair information and systems solutions for professional users performing critical tasks. Products and services are sold through the company's franchisee, company-direct, distributor and internet channels. From our headquarters in Libertyville, IL Snap-on Credit provides financing to technicians, students of automotive technical institutions, and shop owners for the purchase of Snap-on hand tools, power tools, tool storage, and diagnostic products through our Extended Credit program.



Position Summary: Entry level position in which the primary responsibility is collections of early stage delinquent accounts in the Extended Credit portfolio within a regional business unit. Position will be responsible for directing and coordinating EC collections; evaluating, recommending and implementing solutions to resolve delinquency issues; and promoting and marketing Credit Sales programs to Franchisees and customers, while preparing for the potential role of an Associate Account Manager.



Responsibilities



Major Responsibilities:




Collection of EC accounts to achieve established Corporate/Regional goals



  • Extensive phone contact collecting on active delinquent accounts

  • Coordinate collection efforts with Franchisee network

  • Coordinate product return with Account Managers/Senior Account Manager

  • Report and consult with management on major issues

  • Achieve assigned delinquency/loss goals and metrics

  • Answer field and customer questions

  • Resolve credit/payment problems

  • Assist in promoting Credit Sales programs and promotions




Qualifications



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree is preferred

  • 2 years customer service or collections preferred


Business understanding and demonstrated skills and knowledge in:



  • Credit and collections

  • Communications - verbal and written

  • Computer applications

  • Negotiation

Travel: No travel expected



Working Environment: Normal office environment. Entry Level - Not Remote.
