Job Title:  C5ISR Manager of Contracts & Program Management


Location: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA) - Not Remote


Job Functions: While continually learning, collaborating, and partnering with C5ISR team members, you will lead a team in support of customers’ pre & post order needs, drive sales and company growth, and improve organizational processes.  You will develop relationships with government customers and industry partners.  You will creatively address customers' problems, build custom solutions, and be a true advocate throughout the acquisition lifecycle.


The C5ISR Manager of Contracts & Program Management is a part of the C5ISR Sales Division.  You will Lead a business unit that consists of both Inside Sales personnel, primarily focused on NASA SEWP V, as well as Program Managers who support all C5ISR related business.  The position will include Leadership and Management responsibilities, as well as creativity in designing new processes and developing success metrics.  It supports both proactive sales and post order execution.  You will have five to seven direct reports. You will have the opportunity to coach and develop teammates, actively engage in deal strategy and negotiations, hire top talent, and hold the team accountable to legendary customer service expectations.


This position will oversee the core business functions below. Specific execution will be carried out by Program Managers and Inside Sales personnel. The position may assume a "player-coach" role on any of these business functions depending upon the organizational needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Planning & Management, Coaching & Development


    • Lead, Manage, and Develop 5 – 7 direct reports

    • Provide clear expectations for performance, measure, review, and document activity

    • Set quarterly goals for team members

    • Conduct 1-on-1 reviews, measure & document performance

    • Run and plan effective & consistent weekly team meetings

    • Provide daily OTJ training to team members and ensure training plans are executed

    • Execute development plans and training for team members, developing for both strengths & weaknesses

    • Maintain and develop situational awareness relative to market: proactively understand products, suppliers, competitors, customers, contracts, etc.

    • Responsible for high standards of customer service - Follow up on any customer issues, complaints, etc.


  • SEWP V Contract Management


    • Lead group consisting of SEWP Program Manager, inside sales, and renewal team




  • Develop systems that align with ADS sales processes

  • Manage sales pipeline and forecast revenue

  • Collaborate regularly with fellow Managers and Sales Leaders

  • Actively engage in deal strategy for all major deals

  • Track and understand win/loss history



  • Program Management




    • Lead group consisting of C5ISR Program Managers

    • Develop systems and success metrics for C5ISR Program Managers

    • Regularly sync with C5ISR leadership to assign program management duties and tasks

    • Directly interface with the subcontractors and/or U.S. Government on contractual issues:


      • Host Kick-off meetings and program reviews as directed or requested by customers

      • Work quality assurance paperwork, attend inspection and acceptance meetings

      • Analyze and provide risk mitigation techniques to prevent supply chain disruption.

      • Overcome issues with delivery, sourcing, etc.

      • Proactively manage Integrated Master Schedules to avoid unforeseen technical/contractual issues.


    • Provide the timely and efficient resolution of customer disputes or discrepancies.

    • Work with Program Finance to accurately forecast and track invoices through to payment.

    • Contract deliverables including CDRL submission and tracking (as required).

    • Track and Coordinate (as required) special shipping requirements with freight forwarders and ADS operational team to meet contractual milestones




  • Travel


    • Occasional travel required for company events such as Warrior West (San Diego, CA), market & management specific events, to include team & company planning sessions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



  • 5+ years of business development experience with a track record of capture and program management

  • 5+ years of experience with US Government contracting and acquisition

  • Broad, exceptional understanding of DoD programmatic customers, operations, and requirements coupled with key industry supplier relationships

  • Strong understanding of government acquisition and contract vehicles

  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Ability to easily communicate complex ideas, issues and processes to a diverse audience

  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; equivalent experience at ADS or military may be acceptable upon hiring managers discretion

  • Prior experience in management or leadership role is preferred
