Develop, plans, design, deliver and evaluate a wide range of learning activities aligned with strategic initiatives, culture and business results. Analyzes trends and best practices in learning technology and instructional design and apply principles of adult learning and instructional design & delivery techniques. Uses data to drive improvement of learning across the organization measuring effectiveness of learning and development tools, programs, and initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for coordination and presentation of training programs for various levels of the credit union.
Responsible for delivering content using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
Designs and develops training content using instructional design best practices. Identifies appropriate media for both virtual and classroom delivery. Ensures training content is clear, accurate, consistent, and free of spelling and grammatical errors. Leverages active learning strategies for adult learners that address diverse learning styles and abilities.
Collaborate with other members of the training team in developing classroom materials and other job aids to deliver engaging, actionable training.
Responsible for coordination of the on-the-job training activities, including providing feedback to the participant's manager and mentor.
Responsible for measuring the effectiveness of training using evaluations, assessments and OTJ performance.
Responsible for identifying training needs of skills-based programs through observation and feedback from supervisors.
Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union.
* Travel and ability to work varied hours is expected.
Knowledge/Skills:
Facilitation skills and knowledge of a variety of teaching methods that apply the principles of adult learning
Strong organizational skills
Effective Communication - verbal, written, and active listening skills.
Knowledge of the Financial Industry and Training Industry
Ability to create a welcoming and conducive learning environment for all learners.
Ability to use a variety of technology resources to create and deliver training materials
Ability to perform duties with minimal direction
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work skills or experience
Broad knowledge of operations and its impact on both front and back-office applications with at least 3 years' experience in a Financial Institution, Training or Operations function.
4-5 years' facilitation experience such as classroom training, conducting staff meetings, presentations, or leading small groups.
Highly proficient using Microsoft Office suite.
Proficiency using authoring software preferred.
