Description:
Position Title: Process Project Engineer
Reporting Structure: The Process Project Engineer will collaborate with the Senior Engineering Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Addressing operational challenges through analytical methods, experimentation, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Updating and creating technical documents such as P&ID, PFD, and mass/energy balance.
- Diagnosing and resolving DCS and PLC issues, along with documenting control narratives for process adjustments.
- Crafting and refining scopes for upcoming projects, including the development of equipment specifications.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with cross-functional teams including production, R&D, and maintenance.
- Establishing professional credibility through the application of expertise and experience.
- Contributing to the development of operational sequences and conceptual control strategies.
- Efficiently managing multiple concurrent projects, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Active participation in PHA/HAZOP and other regulatory activities.
- Involvement in project commissioning and provision of technical support to achieve project objectives.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical).
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in engineering design within chemical plants or process/chemical equipment manufacturing.
- Hands-on approach and self-starting capabilities.
- Familiarity with piping and equipment codes, product safety standards, etc.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, including pneumatics and automated control systems, is advantageous.
- Previous experience in an RMP and PSM environment.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of project management techniques.
- Willingness to travel moderately (10%).
