Development of job specific safety procedures, and implementation of procedures in the field (self performed and subcontractor's)
Conduct safety and health surveillance's
Conducting safety related training
Prepare daily reports and monthly summary reports
Providing safety engineering support
Compile data for monthly safety performance metrics
Ability to interpret and apply OSHA regulations (1926 and 1910), Local building and fire codes, and other applicable standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Perform oversight inspections and safety audits with owners representatives, consultants and risk engineers
Assist in planning and/or conducting training for project personnel
Works well in groups
Be able to write and review JHA's
Perform accident investigations
The candidate must be innovative, have outstanding technical knowledge, and possess leadership, persuasive, and interpersonal skills.
Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Safety Manager on a construction project and/or New York City transit project and the following certifications:
10 & 30 hour OSHA Construction Outreach
OSHA 500 Construction Outreach Instructor (not required)
