This position is required to perform both preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks and vehicles in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid downtimes. Outfitting of trucks will also be required.
Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Diagnoses and make cost-effective repairs on pickup trucks and vehicles.
Provide timely maintenance reports on vehicles on a computer maintenance software.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to Pickup trucks and some automobiles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with engines and transmissions.
Maintain vehicles by ordering parts through the Parts Dept., properly maintaining equipment, and conducting regular inspections.
Both duties would be listed on our parts dept person. List to follow for that position.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Able to identify, define, and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions independently.
Able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, written or oral form.
Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to equipment operations.
Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations in order to keep time and material records.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus on timeliness and responsiveness.
Capable of utilizing the internet effectively for research, evaluation, and repair completion
Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Heavy truck equipment experience is a plus.
Must be 18 years in age or older.
Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Must maintain current driver's license that meets state requirements.
Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, and Coveralls.
Compliance with all OSHA regulations.
Adhere to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as set forth by the US DOT.

Ability to work with the mechanics and other trades employees assigned during the installation and maintenance of all systems and equipment.
Checking and understanding of electrical schematics.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team environment and get along with others.
Self-motivated and the ability to work independently.
The ability to meet deadlines, to work cooperatively with others and when necessary, work overtime and limited weekends.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The physical demands of this role will require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
