About the job:
Provides and assists participants with activities of daily living, restoration and supportive care necessary to the preservation of the home environment.
Schedule: PRN
Salary: $17/hour for HHA or $18/hour for C.N.A

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of the 75-hour Home Health Aide Certification, or a diploma as a Home Health Aide through an approved post-secondary school required.
Experience: A minimum of one year's experience in working with the frail or elderly population required.
Skills and Knowledges: Know principles, practice standards and techniques of a Home Health Aide. How to use and maintain medical equipment. Identifying and recommending problem resolution.
Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
Work independently with minimum supervision, communicate clearly and effectively.
75-hour FL Home Health Aide Certificate OR active FL Certified Nursing Assistant, Current BLS CPR - Required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist participants with personal hygiene, in and out of bed, exercised prescribed, use of bathroom and medication ordinarily self-administered.
Prepare and assist participants with meals.
Take vitals, change colostomy bags, change non-sterile dressing and non-sterile bowl and bladder hygiene care for specific participants.
Performs directed household services.
Reports changes in participants conditions and needs to the In-Home Supervisor; completes appropriate documents of services
Maintains confidentiality and a safe working environment.
Handles potentially infection specimens with appropriate biohazard precautions and practices.
Performs other duties as required or requested.
